5th International Police Conference
Science and Innovation vs. the State Security System
Warsaw, 13-14 April 2011
The Conference is organised by the General HQ of the Polish Police. The participants invited to the Conference will include the executive staff of European Police services and the Polish agencies responsible for public security.
The Conference will be dedicated to the exchange of experience between the Polish Police and its counterparts from other countries in the search for sources of innovation and technology transfer to improve national security and the operation of the services themselves. Subjects for discussion will also include R&D work carried out in partnership with leading universities and aimed at increasing the efficiency of management processes and at reducing the Polish Police’s operational costs in finance, fixed assets, transport and IT.
Also discussed will be projects important in view of what is required for the efficient operation and fulfilment of tasks by the relevant bodies in their service to the society. These areas include: IT security, internal security, crisis management and crime detection technology.
The agenda of the Conference also includes an exchange of views on the way public administration bodies, both in Poland and in the EU, address internal security research.
The EUROPOLTECH 2011 International Fair of Technology and Equipment for the Police and National Security Services will be held in parallel with the Conference; therefore, the conference participants will have convenient access to the latest technologies which support the work of police services. The correlation between the Conference and Exhibition agendas will encourage mutual contact between the exhibitors and the conference participants.
