A Message from the MINISTER OF INTERIOR AND ADMINISTRATION

Dear Exhibitors, Dear Visitors,

Let me bid a very warm welcome to the Participants in the 5th International Police Conference on Science and Innovation vs. the State Security System, as well as the Exhibitors, Organisers and Visitors at the Europoltech 2011 International Fair of Technology and Equipment for the Police and National Security Services, which accompanies the Conference.

I am honoured to hold auspices over these events which are of such importance not only to the Polish Police but also to other public security services and agencies.

The development and improvement of the public security system both in Poland and other EU countries call for innovation and advanced technology transfer. Therefore, the value of this year’s Conference comes as an opportunity to review projects run by R&D units in the process of research on public safety.

The Conference will also constitute an important international forum for the exchange of experience on how to use technological progress to perfect management systems and increase the efficiency of police services in action.

The fact that over 170 Polish and international companies which supply technology, products and equipment for the police services take part in Europoltech 2011, next to its purely educational dimension, is certainly conducive to informed choices to be made by the logistics departments of various services between their needs and capabilities to purchase advanced equipment on the one hand and the further optimisation of the upgrade process costs on the other.

I wish the Conference Participants rewarding discussions and the best new ideas on how to employ advanced technologies in effective crime abatement and how to enhance the police and other officers’ personal safety.

I wish the Exhibitors plenty of success in designing an attractive product offer for Poland’s public security system services and also success in meeting your expectations of the Europoltech 2011 Fair of Police Technology.

Let me also thank the Gdańsk International Fair Co. (MTG SA) for having organised the event which is of key importance to police services.
