Europoltech 2007

 

EUROPOLTECH 2007, the International Fair of Technology and Equipment for the Police and National Security Services, took place at the EXPO XXI Warsaw International Expocentre, 18-21 April 2007.

 

The Fair accompanied the 3rd International Police Conference on Modernisation and Technological Development of Police Services as a Response to New Threats to Public Safety. The Conference was attended by the executive staff of the European police services, with many Chief Commanders of Police present.

The honorary auspices over the 3rd International Police Conference and Europoltech 2007 were held by the Minister of the Interior and Administration.

 

Europoltech was organised in close partnership with the General Headquarters of the Polish Police and with the other police and national security services.

 

EUROPOLTECH 2007 gathered 208 exhibitors from eleven European countries. The Fair featured the presentations of trade offers and company participation in the three-year technological upgrade program for the police services.

 

The Europoltech exhibition gathered exhibits at the top technological level. The exhibitors’ offer corresponded to the Fair’s programme and addressed the needs of the Polish police services, which began a massive upgrade program at the beginning of 2007.

 

The exhibitor’s offer included modern personal equipment for police officers, weapons, uniform articles, transport and communications equipment, specialist devices including secret technologies and non-publicly available system and operations tools for all the services.

 

The Fair was accompanied by seminars and symposiums on the modernisation tasks in the police services. Special mention should be made of the symposium for the executives of the companies participating in Europoltech: The Principles of the 2007-2009 Three-year Upgrade Plan for the Police, the Border Guard (SG), the State Fire Service (PSP) and the Government Protection Bureau (BOR), and a meeting between the General Police Headquarters Communications and IT Bureau and the Exhibitors during a special conference on The Use of ICT in Support of Processes Carried Out by the Police Services.

 

Europoltech also saw a meeting between the Director of the General Police Headquarters Logistics Bureau and the executives of automotive companies taking part in the Fair, concerning the Police's operational needs in the modernising of its automobile resources in 2007-2009.

 

Next Generation Technology Uniforms was a special-interest uniform show produced by W. L. Gore & Associates Polska Sp. z o.o. in partnership with the Fair organisers.

 

Europoltech was visited by the Executive of the Ministry of the Interior and Administration, the Minister-Coordinator for Special Services, the chiefs of police and national security services, members of parliament and representatives of security-related central government bodies.

 

Exhibition guests included the executive staff of the police and national security services, the officers of Polish Army special services and 4,737 experts, officers of the Police, Border Guard, Government Protection Bureau, State Fire Service and national security services.

 

The Fair’s special guests included the participants in the 3rd International Police Conference on Modernisation and Technological Development of Police Services as a Response to New Threats to Public Safety, police liaison officers accredited in Poland, military diplomats and numerous foreign delegations.

 

The Programme Council of the Europoltech International Fair of Technology and Equipment for the Police and National Security Services selected three products entered for the SUPERMODERN 2007 special promotion programme. The award-winning companies and products of special importance to the police and national security services are:

 

  • The MORATEX Institute of Security Technology

    for their personal bullet-proof kit

  • PAG Sp. z o.o.

    for their mobile monitoring centre

  • PZL – WARSZAWA II SA COMMUNICATIONS EQUIPMENT WORKS
